By the conclusion of this post, you should be able to use what you’ve learned and tell if a user’s followers are genuine.
What Are Fake Followers?
Fake followers are accounts that are generated using spam email for the purpose of selling something or engaging in bot behavior. Micro-influencers often buy false followers in order to exaggerate their influence and fame.
Because organic development is difficult, they may resort to buying phony followers in order to expand their accounts as rapidly as possible. Fake followers, on the other hand, are very harmful to your account and are destroying the influencer marketing sector. These accounts are mostly established and used by bots as a method of selling.

Their Followers Do Not Have a Profile Picture.

Look through their followers to see who doesn’t have a profile photo.
It’s a symptom of a fraudulent account if their followers are mostly people who don’t have a profile photo like the one above.

- The next thing you should do is look up the follower’s username.

- Is the username grammatically correct?
- Is your username a collection of random words?
- Is there a lot of data in it?
- It’s possible that the profile satisfies two or more of the three criteria, indicating that it’s a fraudulent account.
